Written by Evgeniia Shakirova, ME GOODY Sales and Outreach Intern Just five minutes from ICON SIAM, ME GOODY Space may look like a three-floor creative space – a place where you can host workshops, exhibitions, or small-scale performances - but those who spend time here know that the heart of ME GOODY is not the building itself. It’s the people who gather inside it. The rooms, the furniture, the white walls… they change depending on the event, but the spirit remains constant: ME GOODY is a growing community of creatives who come together to explore, experiment, and make things happen. At the center of this community is film. Film creation, film screenings, film discussions, film festivals – these are the ideas that bring us together again and again. Our monthly First Light micro-cinema sessions are one of the clearest examples of who we are: a small but dedicated group supporting emerging filmmakers, giving them a place to screen their work, talk about their process, share their challenges, and feel seen. As someone who works on outreach and takes part in everything that happens here, I’ve had the chance to watch these connections form in real time – strangers becoming collaborators, filmmakers finding encouragement, guests walking away inspired to start their own projects. First Light: November gathering ME GOODY has existed for three years, but in many ways it still feels young – and that’s part of its charm. We are still learning how to grow, how to communicate our identity clearly, how to shape our vision. We know we need to be more open about our focus on film and film-related projects; we know we have room to improve. But this vulnerability is also what makes ME GOODY sincere. We are not a polished institution. We are a creative community figuring things out together. And every event, every conversation, every new member helps us understand who we are becoming. Beyond film, ME GOODY values creativity, cultural exchange, and the support of emerging artists. Our community reflects the international character of Bangkok: Thai artists, foreign creatives, students, professionals, new arrivals, long-time residents – all sharing the same curiosity. Whether it’s through a screening, a workshop, an exhibition, or simply sitting on the floor talking after an event, ME GOODY continues to grow as a space where people feel welcome to try, to fail, to learn, and to create. Charity Trip to Bamboo School: ME GOODY community If you’re searching for a creative community – not just a venue – we hope you’ll join us. ME GOODY will continue shaping itself through the people who walk through its doors, and we’re excited to see what we can build together. Inquiry about ME GOODY Space: Space Rental
