By: Arielle Teplitzky As the summer sun blazed across the city, a group of ambitious students, including myself, embarked on a thrilling journey as interns at Buddy Up. With most of us from Rangsit University and one from Chulalongkorn University, our purpose was clear: to gain valuable experience and share our remarkable journey through this internship. Overview of the Internship: The air of excitement surrounded us as we embraced our summer internship with ME GOODY. Split into two teams, marketing and event production, we delved into a world of creativity and innovation. The marketing team strategized ways to boost social media engagement and promote the company, while the event production team worked tirelessly to bring to life an interactive and gamified photowalk session called Seek-/+Found. Expectations and Goals: Stepping into the internship, we were filled with a mix of anticipation and uncertainty. However, the warm and supportive environment created by the executive team surpassed all our expectations. Their leadership inspired us to tackle tasks with gusto and strive for excellence in everything we did. Projects and Responsibilities: The marketing team's dynamic quartet took charge of different social media platforms, honing our video-editing, content creation, and analytical skills. Meanwhile, the event production duo worked tirelessly behind the scenes, creating an engaging and multi-faceted event that would leave a lasting impression. Learning Experience: Our internship proved to be a masterclass in time management as we juggled deadlines and responsibilities. We learned the value of seeking help when needed, leading us to overcome challenges with newfound confidence. Company Culture: The ME GOODY culture exuded fun, camaraderie, and inclusivity. Executives made sure we felt welcome, and our memorable Karaoke night brought out the hidden pop stars in all of us, fostering an incredible team spirit. Networking and Mentorship: The marketing team's task of reaching out to potential prospects allowed us to venture into the world of networking. Although initially challenging, the experience provided us with valuable skills in research and professional communication. Personal Growth: As Communication Arts students, our internship experience aligned perfectly with our academic pursuits. The journey was marked by significant personal growth and development, though some of us remain open to exploring other career paths in the future. Tips and Advice: For future interns, we urge you to fearlessly share your opinions and ideas with the executive team. Embrace the learning curve and don't hesitate to seek help when needed; the ME GOODY team is always ready to lend a helping hand. Lastly, our heartfelt gratitude goes to the entire ME GOODY team and fellow interns, for creating an environment that made every day a joy to come to work. Your support and guidance have been instrumental in shaping our unforgettable experience. Three months flew by in a whirlwind of content creation, event planning, and personal growth. Our internship with ME GOODY has left an indelible mark on our lives, and we'll forever cherish the memories and lessons gained. As we bid farewell to an incredible journey, we step into the future with newfound confidence and passion for what lies ahead.
